Friday, March 28 - At MBA Rebels leave with a Tie
On a miserable cold and rainy night the Rebels walk away from MBA with a Tie.  The Rebels went up by 1 with a goal made by defensive player Caleb Steen in the second half.  Later in the half Nate Gorman chipped a great ball to Ian Anthony who scored.  After the celebration, the ref made a late off-sides call - which was not appreciated by the Rebel players or fans!  It the last few minutes of the game MBA scored leaving the score at 1-1.

Wednesday, March 26 - Rebel Shutout BGA
A great defensive and offensive performance by the Rebels resulted in a shutout against BGA.  Rebels win 3-0!  Ian Anthony scored 2 of the 3 goals.

Quote from the message board at http://tennessee.coacht.com :
Franklin looked extremely impressive in a 3-0 blowout over BGA. I felt bad for #8 on BGA who got hurt early in the game. This is the best Franklin has looked this year. #19 (Ian Anthony) for Franklin took over in the first half with his blazing speed and goals. If they continue to improve and play at this level, they may be able to challenge Brentwood in 11AAA. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

The Rebels JV also handed BGA a whooping 4-0 Loss!

Monday, March 24 - Williamson AM "Soccer season should be hard-fought"
Franklin - Franklin has 10 travel-team players on its roster, more than it had last season, and coach Steve Parker hopes that translates into more wins.  Goalkeeper John Shaw made a career high 20 saves in a 1-0 win over Ravenwood in the opener, but the Rebels' back line needs to improve after allowing eight goals in the next two games.  Co-captains Alex McCubben and Alex Booth will lead the way for Franklin.

Wednesday, March 12 - Season Opener
The Rebel won the season opening game 1-0 against rival Ravenwood.  It was battle from start to finish with yellow cards flying!  Goalie John Shaw played a terrific game and made some very impressive stops!  The goal was scored by Senior Dauz Wenner.
